Terms & Conditions


This contract is between Lime Media Design Limited (LMD) and you (the client).


  1. All invoices are based on quotations that have been provided in writing (an email or a letter), in advance by LMD.


  2. Website Design work is invoiced 25% in advance, payment of this deposit is deemed acceptance of the contract. A lower deposit may be paid if previously agreed. The balance is due upon completion, or as otherwise specified herein, whereupon the website will be made live.


  3. If a domain name needs to be purchased on your behalf this will be invoiced and paid for by the client at the outset together with the initial deposit


  4. If the website design is cancelled by the client before completion then the deposit is forfeited.


  5. All rates are subject to VAT


  6. Invoices are due for payment within 7 days. LMD retain the right to take down or suspend a website and cease email forwarding if payment is not made within these terms.


  7. The suspension or removal of a website does not in any way restrict LMD from any further actions to recover outstanding payments.


  8. LMD will register a domain name on your behalf and we act as your agents with the registering authority. The client will retain full rights to the use of the name according to the relevant registering authority's terms once all payments due have been made.


  9. LMD may build your website on a temporary site for your approval before moving it to your domain name.


  10. All content will be treated as commercial in confidence.


  11. If images cannot be provided by the client then LMD will source either stock photography or will produce them 'in house'.


  12. The client will promptly provide to LMD any information that may be required to fulfil its obligations under the Agreement. Failure to do so within 3 months of a written request will result in the final balance being invoiced and payable by the client.


  13. LMD retains the rights to all code, design and functionality of websites that we create. We may reuse any code, design, or functionality from your site on another site.


  14. LMD will introduce your website to search engines but we cannot guarantee the ranking of your website on any search engine.


  15. LMD will make every reasonable effort to ensure that your website is viewable on the major platforms: Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Opera and Google Chrome.


  16. LMD shall not be directly or indirectly liable for any damages suffered by the client; for any losses incurred due to malfunction of the website or any part of it.


  17. Once the design and set up invoice has been settled, ownership of the pages passes to the client, the overall look, HTML and CSS belong to LMD.


  18. In the event of a complaint, this must be in writing to Customer Services LMD Victoria House, Victoria Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1EJ. Complaints will be investigated and a response made within 14 days.


  19. Should the client decide to transfer their website from our servers, provided all outstanding invoices are settled we will co-operate professionally and in a timely manner with your new supplier. An administrative charge of £100 will be levied.


  20. Unless instructed by the client in writing we will include a byline on your website: Built by LMD.


  21. Once a website has been designed and completed the final balance of payment is then due in accordance with LMD payment terms. There are no exceptions to this. If a client decides they no longer want the site once they have commissioned the work, they are still obliged to pay for all work that has been done. Non payment will result in legal action being taken if necessary.


  22. This contract shall be governed by the Laws of England and Wales.

  23. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

If you ask us to provide hosting, then this will be provided through Crystal Internet Services which has its own separate terms and conditions. Queries related to hosting should be directed to support@crystaliom.com and not LMD.
